Wilma Lytle, 89, of Robinson, IL, died at 9:10 a.m. (EST) on October 11, 2019, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. She was born January 26, 1930, in Robinson, the daughter of Clifford O. & Dorothy (Curtis) Beard, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Deanna Marie Martinez, and by her brother, Clifford F. Beard. In January 1982, she married Edgar "Ed" Lytle, and he survives. She is also survived by her daughters & sons-in-law, Debbie W. & Mario A. Martinez (Houston, TX) and Cindy L.& Mike T. Beard (Robinson, IL); by her step-daughters & sons-in-law, Mary Alice & Wayne Brush (Robinson, IL) and Sherry & Tyler Bush (Robinson, IL); by her grandchildren, Meagan and Bryce Hagelstein (Houston, TX), Wade & Jamie Shimer (Plainfield, IL), Lindsay & Brad Gnade (Mokena, IL), Kyle Shimer & Ashley Halston (Lisle, IL); by her step-grandchildren, Camron & Alyvea Beard, Denise Bush, Shannon & Joshua Bryant, Reuben Brush and Ryan Brush; by her 11 great- grandchildren, and by her sister- in-law, Ruth Beard Twigg (Robinson, IL). Though Wilma worked for a number of local businesses through the years, her heart was her home and all those inside of it. Though she enjoyed spending time at home, she absolutely loved traveling alongside Ed. When they were first married, they road tripped to CA, bunking in the back of their van, making sure to find courses to golf along the way! Later years found them snow birding in Ft. Myers, FL, their home away from home. Wilma will be remembered as someone who invested herself whole-heartedly into others. She was a wonderful listener, but she loved to talk just as much! This was evident in her role as a Weight Watchers lecturer, a position that was a great point of pride in her life. Faith played a central role in Wilma's life. We who are left behind have the assurance that she has been freed from the chains of this temporal life and is now experiencing the inconceivable joy of her eternal reward alongside her Savior. A time of visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 16th at the funeral home with Rev. Jerry McDaniel officiating. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery.
