William H. Carrell

William H. Carrell, 76 of Robinson, IL, died at 11:05 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2008 at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson. He was born January 12, 1932 in Lawrenceville, IL, the son of Oscar William Carrell and Eula Martin Carrell. He worked for Texaco for 32 years before retiring in 1985. He was a member of the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Lawrenceville American Legion Post # 28.He married Joan Heath on January 29, 1955, and she survives. He is also survived by his two daughters and a son-in-law, Suzanne Courtney, Robinson, and Suzette and her husband Michael Potts of Indianapolis; three sisters, Louise VanGundy, La Guna Nigel, CA, Greta White, Indianapolis, and Phyllis Cummins, Lawrenceville; three grandsons; one granddaughter; three great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Dennis Carrell in 2000; three brothers; and two sisters.Private family graveside services will be held at a later date in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery, Lawrenceville, IL. Memorials may be made to the 'Life Nets', 3707 Turfway Ct., Indianapolis, IN 46228-2095. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements.
