William "Billy" Eugene Calvert

William "Billy" Eugene Calvert, 67, of Robinson, IL, died on December 9, 2021 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. Billy was born on July 20, 1954, in Robinson, IL; the son of William & Mary (Wilson) Calvert, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Linda Kaiser, Victoria Calvert and Connie McCord. Billy married his wife of 45 years, Connie Douglas, on October 16, 1976 and she survives. He is also survived by his son, Larry Turner; by his daughter & son-in-law, Stacie & Pat McMillan; by his grandchildren, Calvin Turner and Victoria McMillan; by his brother & sister-in-law, Butch & Pam Calvert; by his sisters & brothers-in-law, Twila Reynolds, Barbara & Mike Weck and Nikki & James Newell; as well as several nieces and nephews. Billy worked for the city of Robinson for 35 years, with the last 25 years as superintendent of the street department. He was known as a homebody. He enjoyed working in the yard and gardening. Billy's true love was spending time with his family. It was his wish to be cremated without a public service. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements.
