Wilbur Aden Reynolds

Wilbur Aden Reynolds, 80 of rural West York, IL, died at 12:45 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2011 at Casey Health Care in Casey, IL. He was born November 15, 1930 in Prairie Township, Crawford County, IL, the son of Aden Reynolds and Ollie Athey Reynolds. Wilbur graduated from Hutsonville High School in the class of 1948, served in Germany in the U. S. Army during the Korean War, was a member of the Robinson American Legion Post #69 and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer and had also retired from L. S. Heath and Sons and Leaf Candy Company in 1996 after 38 years of employment.Wilbur married Reba Newlin on June 3, 1955 and she survives. He is also survived by his four children and their spouses: Karen and Dr. Roger Marshall, Effingham, Randall and Mary Lea Reynolds, Katy, TX, Bill and Cheryl Reynolds, Robinson, Bob and Kathy Reynolds, Marshall; 11 grandchildren, Beth (John) Marshall Sullivan, Sarah (Jeremy) Marshall Dulak, Rachel (Seth) Marshall Ventress, Melissa Reynolds, Lindsey Reynolds, Katie (Matt) Reynolds Midgett, Weston Reynolds, Mike Cruse, Casey Cruse, Kacee Reynolds, Kory Reynolds; and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Lenore Shafer.Funeral services will be held at the Prust-Hosch Funeral Home in West Union, IL at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 6th. Dr. Roger Marshall and Rev. Earl Webb are in charge of services. Burial is in the Bailiff Cemetery. Visitation is from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 5th at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Hutsonville High School Alumni Association Scholarship Fund with envelopes available at the funeral home. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the combined units of the Robinson American Legion Post #69, the Robinson V. F. W. Post #4549, the Amvets Post #33, and the Flat Rock American Legion Post #132.
