Wayne N. Miller

Wayne N. Miller, 77, of rural Robinson, died at 6:11 p.m., E.S.T., on Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at the St. Vincent Clay Hospital in Brazil, IN. He was born May 1, 1931 in Robinson, IL, the son of Burl Miller and Joy Geeseman Miller. He retired in 1986 as a Serviceman in the Buildings and Grounds Department of the Marathon Oil Refinery, Robinson, after 21 years of service. Wayne was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church, a former member of Leeper Chapel Church; a 40 year member of the Robinson Masonic Lodge #250, and a member of the Hardinville Community Club. He was a lifetime farmer who loved to fish and hunt.Wayne married Crystal York on October 17, 1951, and she survives. He is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Emily and David Bryan, Friendswood, TX; his son, Marvin W. Miller, Tucson, AZ; 5 grandchildren, Jesse Miller, Tucson, AZ, Nicholas, Nathan, Michael and Elizabeth Bryan, Friendswood, TX; his sister-in-law, Aline Alge, Port Clinton, OH; his brother-in-law, Morris Nicholas, NC; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy L. Miller; his parents; his sister, Nana D. Phillips; 2 brothers, Carl C. Miller and Herman Paul Miller in infancy.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 9, 2008, at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson with Rev. Linda Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday and until service time on Monday. Memorials may be made to the Zion United Methodist Church or to the organization of the donor’s choice with envelopes available at the funeral home.
