Wanda Jean Rosenberg, 82, of Robinson, IL, died at 11:45 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2008 at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson. She was born March 30, 1925 in Hutsonville, IL, the daughter of Raymond W. Swope and Helen L. Brittenham. She worked as a hospital aide in Dyer, IN. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Palestine, the Robinson V.F.W. Auxillary, and was active in the Sesquicentennial Celebration in Palestine and was the Queen of the Sesquicentennial Celebration. She was also a volunteer at Crawford Memorial Hospital. She married Paul Rosenberg November 28, 1944 and he survives. She is also survived by her two daughters, Jennifer, and husband Mark McKinney, Mattoon, IL, Phoebe J. Alger, and fianc Dan Fuller, rural Robinson; two grandchildren, Jamie Beth Littlejohn, St. Francisville, Paul Joseph Alger and his wife Tenielle, Robinson; 3 great grand children, Nicholas Littlejohn, Collin Alger, and Korbin Alger; a step great grandchild, Keegan Jones; her sister-in-law Aloa Swope, Tampa FL and her half-sister, Donna Wilson, Bellair, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother Lowell Swope; and a stillborn son.Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson with Rev. Paul Phillips officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 16, at 11:00 a.m. in the Oak Grove Cemetery, rural Palestine. Memorials may be made to the Palestine First Presbyterian Church, Music Department or to the New Hebron Christian School, with envelopes at the funeral home.
