Vivian Roberts

Vivian Roberts, 54, of Robinson, IL, died at 10:42 p.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson, IL. She was born March 5, 1964 in Robinson, IL; the daughter of William Hussey, Sr. & Betty Lou (Harvey) Hussey. She married Gary Roberts on March 12, 1982, and he preceded her in death on September 3, 2018. She is also preceded in death by her son, Bryant on November 29, 2000; by her mother, Betty Hussey on February 26, 2017; and by her father-in-law, David Roberts on June 8, 2014. She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Heather & Zac Stephens (Robinson, IL); by her son & daughter-in-law, J.J. & Stevee Roberts (Robinson, IL); by her grandchildren, Maddux, Laine, Landree, and Zoe; by her father, Bill Hussey, Sr. (Robinson, IL); by her brother & sister-in-law, Bill Hussey, Jr. & Myrna K. Tinsley Hussey (Mt. Carmel, IL); by her mother-in-law, Gladys Roberts (Annapolis, IL); by her brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Greg & Jeanae Roberts (West York, IL); by her sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Rita & Clint Corder (Duncanville, IL);by her daughter from another family, Jodie Garrard; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Vivian grew up in the Robinson area and was a 1982 graduate of Robinson High School. She worked several years at Big Lots. Recently in the last few years she and Gary enjoyed traveling to Lynchburg TN, among other destinations. She especially enjoyed going to the zoo and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. More than anything, however, Vivian loved spending time with her family. Her grandchildren were her life, and they brought so much joy to her life. Her kind, caring nature will never be forgotten. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Jack Daniels Tennessee Squire Association. A time of visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Saturday January 5th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. A memorial service will follow, during which, an opportunity will be provided for friends and family to share in Vivian’s life. Celebrant Curt Goodwine will officiate. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Shriners Hospital for Children, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
