Vivian Leabelle "Lea" Trout Fuller

July 10, 1931 — February 26, 2023

Vivian Leabelle "Lea" Trout Fuller, 91, Henderson, KY, passed away into the loving arms of God at 4:22 a.m. on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at Redbanks Nursing Home in Henderson, KY under the care of St. Anthony's Hospice - finally free from the devastating effects of Alzheimer's Disease.

Lea was born July 10, 1931, in Flat Rock, IL, the daughter of William Elmer Trout and Bonnie Bell Rich Trout, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married to Floyd Fuller in 1950, and they celebrated 63 years of marriage just prior to his death in 2013. In 1963, Lea and Floyd moved to Henderson, KY, with their three children, Lynda, Mary, and Mac. Lea was a wife, mother, and homemaker while also working outside the home. She worked with Floyd for many years, helping him with his business, Fuller Tax Service. She also worked for Don Mahurin Chevrolet-Olds Dealership for many years. She retired shortly after Mr. Mahurin sold the dealership. Lea was active in the choir at First United Methodist Church and enjoyed playing bridge with a group of ladies that were very dear to her. She loved music and you could find her many times playing the piano or organ. She also enjoyed making floral arrangements. Lea loved reading romance books, playing solitaire on her computer, and traveling with Floyd and her siblings. Her grandchildren remember their Granny and Papa for the numerous trips to amusement parks. These are all the things she did until Alzheimer's took over her mind.

In 2000, Lea and Floyd moved back to their roots in Illinois. In 2009, the warm Florida weather called to them, so they moved again, where they were able to spend time with their oldest daughter, Lynda. After Floyd's passing in 2013, Lea moved back to Henderson, KY, in 2015. Unfortunately, the move resulted in a more rapid progression of Alzheimer's symptoms. In 2017 she became a resident of the Alzheimer's Unit at Redbanks.

Lea was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd; her sisters: Darlene Lionburger and Lynette Trout; her brother, Donovan Trout; and her grandson, Mac A Fuller II.

She is survived by her daughters, Lynda Joyce McFelia and her husband Karl David of The Villages, FL, Mary Kay Fuller of Henderson, KY; her son, Mac Allen Fuller and his wife Kathy, also of Henderson, KY; her grandchildren: Melinda Rebman (Andy), Erica Shupert (Shaun), Jessica Lett, John David Lett (Jennifer), Christina Henderson (Brandon), Jamie Trodglen (Glen), and Allen Phelps; and twenty-six great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Dee Dee Trout, her brother-in-law, Dean Lionburger, a special family friend, Liz Osborn, and many cousins.
