VIRGINIA “JENNIE” MARGARET SNYDERVirginia “Jennie” Margaret Snyder, 55 of West Salem, IL, formerly of Crawford County, IL, died unexpectedly at her home Wednesday, November 29, 2006. She was born March 21, 1951 in Olney, IL, the daughter of Cecil H. Woods and Marie E. Voigt Woods.She was a L.P.N.; a member of the Ladies of the Moose; the Ladies of the Elks; and a member of the Palestine First Christian Church.Jennie married William Lee Snyder on March 20, 1974 and he survives. She is also survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law; William Bradley and Tammy Branson Snyder, Robinson, Jesse and Christina Voss Snyder, Palestine; two daughters and a son-in-law; Jill L. Christie, Jacksonville, NC, and Amanda J. and Adam Keith Davis, Jacksonville, NC; 4 grandchildren; Abbey and Matt Christie, Samantha Rose Snyder, and Avery Marae Davis; her sister and brother-in-law, Karen and William Lee Tarpley, West Salem; her brother and sister-in-law, Jack Voigt and Debbie Woods, Olney; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Tommy Joe Woods; and her two sisters, Martha Jean Woods and Madeline Kay Woods.Funeral services are Saturday, December 2nd at 1:00 p.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine. Rev. John Johnson and Rev. Terry Weavil are in charge of services. Burial is in the Palestine Cemetery. Visitation is from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 1st with memorials to the Palestine First Christian Church, 214 E. Grand Prairie St., Palestine, IL 62451 or to the West Salem Moravian Church, 306 E. Church St., West Salem, IL 62476. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home.
