Virginia Lea Rayhel

Virginia Lea Rayhel, 78 of Robinson formerly of West Union, IL, died at 10:45 p.m. January 1, 2010, at Cotillion Ridge Nursing Center in Robinson. She was born January 15, 1931 in Licking Township (Belair), the daughter of Charles W. Medsker and Edna (Newlin) Medsker.She graduated from Martinsville High School in 1949 and was a member of the West Union Christian Church. She married Silas L. Rayhel on June 14, 1952 and he preceded her in death on February 9, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Charles Medsker. Virginia is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Sara Rayhel, Trimble; her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Mark Gaddis, Oblong; 3 grandchildren and their spouses, Toni Gaddis Denver, CO, Troy and Ashlie Gaddis, Sumner; Tricia and Steve Gower, West Union; 5 great grandchildren; her sister, Donna DiNaso, Seymour, IN; her sister-in-law, Barbara Medsker, Robinson; 10 additional brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Doris and Russell Burnam, Marshall, Lester and Mary Jane Rayhel, Lincoln, Nebraska, Earl and Della Rayhel, Terre Haute, Rosanna Bowles, Terre Haute, George and Mary Lou Rayhel, Martinsville, and Floyd Rayhel; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be Thursday, January 7th at 11:00 a.m. at the Prust-Hosch Funeral Home in West Union. Brother Joe Griffith is in charge of services. Burial is in the Medsker Cemetery. Visitation is from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 6th and Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to service time at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House with envelopes at the funeral home.
