Virginia G. Goff

Virginia G. Goff, 83, of Hutsonville, IL, passed away on January 10, 2023, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. She was born on September 24, 1939, in Hardinville, IL, the daughter of Everett Littlejohn & Gladys (Melton) Littlejohn-Coatney. She grew up in the Hardinville area and married Joe Goff at the age of 16. The Goffs soon started a family, and Virginia would dedicate the rest of her life to providing for their needs. For years, she would often work two jobs at a time, caring for nursing home residents as a CNA during the day and providing dignifying aid as a private caretaker at night. But that was just Virginia; her heart was always turned outward. Her beloved family and many cherished friends could attest to the fact that sacrificial love seemed to naturally pour out of her. This selflessness of spirit enabled her to live a good and fruitful life, and we feel the call to live as she did, by her memory and as her legacy.

She is survived by her children & their spouses, Joel & Teresa Goff (Robinson, IL), Greg & Debbie Goff (Ste. Marie, IL), Cindy McKimmy & fiancé Alan Hetzler (Robinson, IL), Cynthia & Richard Hartbank (Hutsonville, IL), and Ronnie Goff (Hutsonville, IL); by her siblings & their spouses, Prentice & Nancy Littlejohn (Robinson, IL), Helen Mae & Floyd Tracy (Oblong, IL), and Joe Coatney (Robinson, IL); as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brothers, Charles Everett Littlejohn and David Littlejohn; and her granddaughter, Kacie Jo Hartbank.

A time of visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Monday, January 16th, at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Cremation will follow the visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to her memorial fund, with checks made payable to "Goodwine Funeral Homes". Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
