Victor D. Decker

Victor D. Decker, 93, of Robinson, IL, died at 1:15 a.m. Saturday, July 17, 2010 at the Crawford Memorial Hospital Long Term Care Unit. He was born March 13, 1917 in Annapolis, IL, the son of Joseph Decker and Alice Graham Decker. He was a farmer and was employed at Briggs for 35 years. He was a charter member of the Star Prowlers Square Dancers and was an avid deer hunter.Victor married Myrtle J. Wiseman on October 12, 1941 and she preceded him in death on November 12, 2004. He was also preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Sylvia Decker in infancy and Shirley Cronin; two brothers Vaughn Decker and Lonnie Decker.He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, David D. and Janice Decker, Robinson; his daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki and Terry Maus, Robinson, Donna and Phil Fleek, Robinson, and Doris Smith, Leesburg, FL; his 6 grandchildren Randy D. Decker, Stoy, Lisa and Corbin Musgrave, Oblong, Erynn and Chris Stifle, Robinson, Pete Fleek, Robinson, Alicia and Brian Bricker, Flat Rock, Elizabeth and Mike Krech, Leesburg, FL; 13 great-grandchildren, Katie Murphy, Koby and Kale Decker, Jacob and Justin Wartsbaugh, , Slater, Payton, and Elliott Stifle, Dylan Fleek, Andrea McKeighan and Cooper Bricker, Katie and Sydney Krech; one great-great-grandchild, Alivia Morgan Murphy; one brother, Stanley Decker, Independence, IA; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson with Brother Charlie Rains officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer€™s Foundation and Lincolnland Hospice, with memorial envelopes available at the funeral home.
