Vera P. Tuttle

Vera P. Tuttle, 89 of Robinson, IL, died at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson at 6:20 a.m. Saturday, September 11, 2010. She was born April 26, 1921 in Terre Haute, IN, the daughter of Harmon and Mamie Reinoehl Montgomery. She worked for L. S. Heath and Sons in candy production for 23 years, retiring in 1967. She also was member of the Robinwood Assemble of God Church in Robinson for 64 years. Vera married Carl Tuttle on March 5, 1939 and had 71 wonderful years together, and he survives. She is also survived by her son and 2 daughters-in-law, Phillip and Ruth Tuttle; and Judy Tuttle all of Robinson. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Lisa Tuttle, Indianapolis, Terry Tuttle, Great Summit, MT, and Tim and his wife, Connie Tuttle also of Great Summit, MT; 4 great grandchildren, Josh Ash, Justin Tuttle, Sarah Bovingloh, and Timothy Scott Tuttle, Jr.; her great-great granddaughter, Lily Iaman; her loving sister, Martha Murray, Robinson; 3 sisters-in-law, Wilma Montgomery, Robinson, Welcome Montgomery, California, and Jean Sullivan, Jacksonville, FL; and many nieces, nephews, and a host of wonderful friends.Preceding her in death were her parents; her son Larry Dean Tuttle, 7 brothers and sisters, Opal Craig, Ellsworth Montgomery, Carrie Montgomery, Doris Dunlap, Ed Montgomery, Margaret Rich, Doris Dunlap, and James €œBud€ Montgomery. She will be sadly missed by all.Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Robinwood Assembly of God Church on outer north Jackson St. in Robinson. Pastor James Parks is in charge of services. Burial is in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation is from 9:00 a.m. to service time at 11:00 a.m. at the Church. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Robinwood Assembly of God Church with envelopes at the Church or at the funeral home.
