Tyler L. Davis

April 10, 1980 — December 9, 2020

Tyler L. Davis, 40, of Robinson, IL, died on December 9, 2020 at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson. He was born April 10, 1980, in Vincennes, IN, the son of Thomas & Elizabeth (Waller) Davis. He grew up in the Bridgeport and Hutsonville areas and was a 1998 graduate of Hutsonville High School. He found work with a number of area employers, including TRW, Pizza Hut, and the Elks before getting on with Toyota Boshoku, where he has worked since 2006. Time away from work often found Tyler lifting weights. He was a dedicated lifter, to the point that he had a bench and weight set in his dining room! He was a great lover of music as well. Tyler was known to belt out "Piano Man" on karaoke night and "Rock and Roll All Nite" at Kiss concerts. He held a life-long appreciation for comics and collectables, and found his way into comic book conventions every chance he could. More than any of these things, Tyler simply enjoyed spending time with his loved ones, especially his daughters, Chloe and Tessa, who were each the apple of his eye. He is also survived by his parents, Tom & Beth Davis (Hutsonville, IL); by his brothers, Ryan & Trischa Davis (Ogden, UT) and Logan & Bethany Davis (Belleville, IL); by his significant other, Niki McCullough (Robinson, IL); by the mother of his children, Michelle Davis (Robinson, IL); as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. They will remember Tyler as a friendly, loving man who lived a life marked by both patience and passion. Though he was taken from us too soon, there is peace in knowing that his 40 years were filled with real and meaningful living. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Lois Davis and Gola & Dorothy Waller. It is with regret that, due to the newly-increased public safety measures being enforced by the State of Illinois, services at the funeral home will be private. However, the public will be given the opportunity to say their goodbyes at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 15th at the Billett Cemetery, rural Lawrence County, IL, where there will be a drive-by visitation. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the "American Heart Association". Checks may be sent to: Goodwine Funeral Homes 303 E Main St Robinson, IL 62454
