Twila Jones Perkins

Twila Jones Perkins, 82, Robinson, IL, died at 5:15 a.m. Sunday, May 03, 2009 at Ridgeview Care Center in Oblong, IL. She was a member of the Robinson First Baptist Church, the Robinson American Legion Aux. And the Crawford County Camping Club.She was born June 8, 1926 in Newton, IL the daughter of Horace Wheat and Isabell Anderson Wheat. She married Gordon Jones on November 6, 1943 and he preceded her in death July 1, 1994. She then married Don Perkins October 3, 1998 and he preceded her October 28, 2000. She was also preceded by a son Harold Jones, 2 brothers; Paul and Roy Wheat and a set of twins in infancy.She is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law; Russell and Jo Jones, Robinson and Jerald and Polly Jones, Robinson, 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, a brother and sister-in-law; Dewey and Marvine Wheat, Olney, IL, a sister and brother-in-law; Virginia Ann and Wilfred Starks, Arcola, IL and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 5th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Burial will follow in the Westlawn Cemetery in Newton, IL. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. till service time at 2 p.m. on Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the 4th of July Celebration Committee with envelopes available at the funeral home.
