Troy B. Fuller, 86 of rural Palestine, IL, died at 6:55 a.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at the Dycus Center of the United Methodist Village in Lawrenceville. He was born March 21, 1921 in Palestine, the son of Ora Fuller and Lena Little Fuller.He was a retired Palestine area hog farmer. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Somonauk, IL, the Crawford County Farm Bureau, the Crawford County Pork Producers, and was a 4-H Leader of the Prairie Pals 4-H Club. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II.He married Marie Baker on April 10, 1948, and she survives. He is also survived by 8 children and their spouses, Pam and Butch Calvert, Don and Sharon Fuller, Doc and Janet Fuller, Sheen Fuller, Marita Stoltz, Reese and Janice Fuller, all of Palestine, Merrill and Kathy Fuller, Murphysboro, and Jo Beth and Harold Briner, Calhoun, Georgia; 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Leroy and Eileen Fuller, Bob and Deb Fuller, both of Palestine; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jane and Chuck Peter, Jacksonville, IL, Kay and Wilbur Oelschlager, Cody, WY; as well as several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; 5 brothers, O.D., John, Mahlon, Ray, and Dorin Fuller; 4 sisters, Wilma Baud, Myrtle Johnson, Norma Guyer, Neva Brashear; 1 grandson and 1 granddaughter.Funeral services will be Saturday, August 18th at 10:30 a.m. at the Palestine First Christian Church with Pastor John Johnson in charge of services. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Cemetery, rural Palestine. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Friday evening at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine and for one hour preceding the service from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church on Saturday. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the Crawford County 4-H Foundation with envelopes available at the funeral home.
