Terry Eugene Wall, 68, of Oblong, IL, passed away August 25, 2020, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN. He was born on October 5, 1951, in Oblong, IL, the son of Fred H. Wall & Florence E. Wall, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Stacie Lynn Herrington; and by his siblings, Ted Wall, Larry "Bill" Wall, and Loretta Watts. He is survived by his sons & daughters-in-law, Jason Wall, Josh & Tamarin Wall, and Chance & Ashlei Wall; by 13 grandchildren; by 5 great-grandchildren; by his brothers, Richard "Dick" Wall and Randy Wall; by his sister, Della Beasley; as well as several nieces and nephews. Terry grew up in the Chicagoland area was a 1970 graduate of Bloom High School in Chicago Heights. From an early age, he was drawn to racing, which lead him to travel all over North America as a salesman and PR-man for various racing teams. He even hosted his own radio show, "Fastalk Racing", a gig that enjoyed a sizable following. Anyone who knew him could attest to the fact that Terry Wall was a "smooth talker". He was able to talk potential buyers into a purchase, regardless of whether they actually wanted it or not! His wonderful sense of humor no doubt played an important role in his successes as a salesman as well. Time at home often found him following NASCAR races, as well as his beloved Chicago sports teams - the Bears, Bulls, and the Cubs, and these provided him with countless hours of entertainment. More than anything, however, his heart was for his family. They will never, nor could they ever, forget this one-of-a-kind soul for as long as they live. Terry will be cremated, and no public services will follow. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements.
