Teresa "Terrie" Frye

Teresa "Terrie" Frye, formerly of Robinson, IL, passed away in Arizona on October 22, 2024, at the age of 68, following a brief illness. She was born on June 2, 1956, in Robinson, the daughter of Gale & Bettie (Scott) Frye, who both preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her beloved grandparents, Clyde & Marie Frye and Jessie & Mildred Scott, her brother, Steve Frye, and several aunts and uncles.

Terrie was a shining light, her joy unmistakable and infectious to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She found the greatest happiness in simple moments, like the excitement of visitors arriving, which she greeted with an enthusiasm all her own, her face glowing with delight and her arms waving eagerly. Terrie's warmth was a gift to those around her, and her cherished doll, a constant companion, brought her comfort and peace.

Her mother, Bettie, was unwavering in her devotion, dedicating her life to Terrie's care, ensuring she felt loved and understood in every way possible. After Bettie's passing, Terrie's brother Larry took on that same loving commitment, moving her to Arizona to be cared for by him and his partner, Ramona DeNoe, and they survive. She is also survived by her aunt, Patricia Ritter; her nephew, Shawn; her nieces, Katie and Rylee; and several cousins.

The life of Terrie Frye was a beautiful testament to the power of love, care, and the joy found in simple moments. Though her needs were great, her impact was greater, reminding us all that the truest expressions of love are often shown through quiet, everyday devotion. Her presence lit up the lives of those around her, and though Terrie will be deeply missed, her radiant spirit will always remain in the hearts of her family.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 4th, at the Robinson New Cemetery, with Celebrant Curt Goodwine officiating. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements.
