Teresa "Kathy" File

Teresa "Kathy" File, 75, of Highland, IL, formerly of Anna, IL, died April 30, 2021, at Highland Healthcare. She was born on April 8, 1946 in Anna, IL, to Arthur G. & Ruth (Youngblood) File, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Dennis Marshall File (in infancy) and Gerald Evan File, and by her sister, Lorna Marnell (File) Goodrich. She is survived by her nieces, Lisa File and Traci Copeland; by her nephew, Kevin Goodrich; and by her guardian, Rena Smith. Teresa (or "Kathy", as she was sometimes known), spent most of her life in Southern Illinois, with the exception of her time in the service. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, we are thankful for the tenacity of spirit that led her to fight for the freedom of her fellow man. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 5th at the Beechwood Cemetery in Mounds, IL. Military rites will be accorded. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson, IL, is in charge of arrangements.
