Susan Morecraft

Susan Morecraft, 60, of Robinson, IL died at 7:49 p.m. on Monday, December 31, 2018 at her home. She was born on April 9, 1958 in Linton, IN, the daughter of Otis Navel & Martha (Wenning) Navel; both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Randy Navel. She married Donald Morecraft on February 14, 1989, and he survives. She is also survived by her sisters, Jeanne Navel (Bowling Green, IN) and Patty Wiseman (Indianapolis, IN); by her mother-in-law, Carolyn Smedley (Paris, IL); by her father-in-law and wife, Donald Morecraft, Sr. & Nancy Morecraft (Memphis, TN); by her sisters-in-law, Stephanie Toller (Mesa AZ), Melinda Roach (Bedford, IN), and Shanda St. Claire (Memphis, TN); as well as several nieces and nephews. She grew up in Linton, IN and was a 1976 graduate of Lincoln- Stockton High School. She would then earn her bachelor’s degree at Lincoln Christian University. She worked several jobs as a book keeper. In her free time, she enjoyed watching a good mystery show or putting a puzzle together. Susan was truly one-of-a-kind. She will be remembered as a patient, caring soul. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Linton, IN. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9th at Payne Cemetery in Brocton, IL. Deb Heaton will officiate the service. Memorials may be made to Crawford County Humane Society or the Catholic Food Bank in Linton, IN, with envelopes available at the cemetery. The Goodwine Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
