Sue B. Summers

Sue Summers, 60 of Robinson, IL, died at 12:50 p.m. e.s.t. at Clarion Center, Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, IN on Saturday, May 23, 2009. She was born April 23, 1949 in Olney, the daughter of Kenneth Berger and Barbara Wharf Berger. She was a graduate of East Richland High School in Olney and Lockyear Business College. She worked as an Administrative Assistant at South Eastern Illinois Counseling Center in Robinson for several years. One of her great joys was helping to organize and attend her high school class reunions. Because of her outgoing personality and her sense of humor she was loved by her many friends and family.She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Monte and Cindy Summers, Oak Park; her daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Shawn Batcheller, League City, TX; her parents, Kenneth and Barbara Berger, Olney; 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Christine Berger, Westerville, OH, Chris and Cyndee Berger, Springfield, IL, John and Barbara Berger, Nashville, TN; her best friend, John Curry, Lawrenceville; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.Following cremation, a Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 28th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson.Donations may also be made online at
