Steven Ray Mattix

Steven Ray Mattix, 33, of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 4:59 p.m., Friday, May 4, 2007 in the Paris Community Hospital Emergency Room.Mr. Mattix was born June 26, 1973 in Elkhart, IN, the son of Karl and Linda (Fann) Mattix. He was a laborer and a member of Grace Fellowship Church in Paris, IL.He married Rebecca (Cottingham) Mattix November 4, 1998 in Paris, IL and she survives. Also surviving are his mother, Linda Fann of Bedford, IN, his father; Karl Mattix; one son, Zachary Cottingham of Kansas, IL; one sister, Katrina Leanne Fulling of Palestine; 2 nieces, Dannika and Alexandra Fulling, both of Palestine; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Carol and Charles Cottingham of Kansas, IL. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Maxine Jones.Following cremation, visitation will be held from Noon to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at the Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home, Paris, IL. Memorial services will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Kenneth Knight officiating. Interment of the cremains will be in Oakland Cemetery, Oakland, IL. Memorials may be made to Grace Fellowship Church, Paris, IL.
