Stephen Daugherty

Stephen Daugherty, 45, of West Union, went to be home with his Lord and Savior at 11:19 p.m. on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the Carle Foundation Hospital in Champaign, IL. He was born on August 31, 1965 in Sullivan, IN, the son of Paul Eugene Daugherty and Patricia Crouch Daugherty. He was an ironworker and a member of Local #22 (formerly Local #439). He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed mushroom hunting, riding motorcycles and four-wheelers, spending time on the Wabash River with his friends, and spending time with his son.He is survived by his father; his son, Dakota Daugherty, rural Palestine; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Tom Daugherty, Hutsonville, and John and Peggy Daugherty, Marshall; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Peggy and Dee Everingham, Palestine and Barbara Johnson of Wisconsin; his ex-wife, Angi Herrell, rural Palestine; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother.Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the Prust-Hosch Funeral Home in West Union. Burial will take place at a later date. There will be a visitation preceding the funeral service from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Dakota Daugherty Academic Fund.
