Stella Elizabeth Skaggs

Stella Elizabeth Skaggs, 87, of Robinson, IL, died at 9:33 a.m. Thursday, October 15, 2009 at Cotillion Ridge Nursing Center. She was born April 9, 1922 in Flat Rock, IL, the daughter of Floyd Tucker and Dora Belle York Tucker. She retired from Victor Dana Corp. Stella was a member of the Eastern Star and the Flat Rock First Christian Church.She married Carl Skaggs November 20, 1939 and he preceded her in death on June 21, 1962. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son in infancy; and her brother, Oleo Tucker.Stella is survived by 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Carl and Gayle Skaggs, Robinson, Kenneth Skaggs, Robinson, Jerry & Yvonne Skaggs, Grafton, IN; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Mike Richey, Robinson, Norma and Nolen Reinbold, Robinson; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 brothers and sister-in-laws, Gene and Louise Tucker, Lawrenceville, Clarence and Ellen Tucker, Lawrenceville; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 Monday, October 19, 2009 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday preceding the services at the funeral home.
