Stanley "Stan" Mullins, 65, of Robinson, IL, died December 13, 2021, at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, IL. He was born April 17, 1956, in Robinson, IL, the son of Manford & Margaret Lloyd Mullins, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Sharon Elaine Mullins and Sandra Joyce Anderson. He married Phyllis Bush on September 30, 1985, and she survives. He is also survived by his children, by three sons, Christopher & Melissa Rice (Newton, IL), Chad Rice (Willow Hill, IL), Stanley & Jody Tuttle (Robinson, IL); by his grandchildren, Christian Rice, Olivia Rice, Jacob Rice, Alayna Rice, Brett Rice, Nicholas Rice, Eric Tuttle, and William Tuttle; by his sisters & brother-in-law, Lynn Fulk (Mascoutah, IL) and Lorri & Ed Bonesteel (Flat Rock, IL); by his brothers & sisters-in-law, Richard & Bev Mullins (Hutsonville, IL), Larry & Laura Mullins (Flat Rock, IL), Lee & Tanya Mullins (Robinson, IL), Doug Mullins (Palestine, IL), Ronnie & Teresa Mullins (Flat Rock, IL), Craig & Vanessa Mullins (Palestine, IL), Dale & Diana Mullins (Robinson, IL), Kevin & Kelly Mullins (Flat Rock, IL), and Tim Mullins (Robinson, IL); as well as several niece and nephews. Stan was born and raised in Robinson and was a 1974 graduate of Robinson High School. As a young man, he ran a construction company for a time but eventually entered the police academy, intending to join local law enforcement. Over the next 16 years, he served his community as an officer in the Robinson Police Department, helping bring peace and justice to our area before stepping down to work for the Robinson Township. In this capacity, Stan worked as the sexton of the township cemeteries, a job he took great pride in, and it showed! Anyone who knew the man could attest to his love of the outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed spending time with his family on camping trips. Family meant everything to Stan, but his grandkids, in particular, were the light of his life. Those he leaves behind will forever cherish his generosity of spirit, as well as his example of excellence in all things. It was Stan's wish to be cremated, and services will be held at a later date. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements.
