Shirley Price, 80, of Palestine, IL, died September 12, 2020, at the comfort of her home. She was born April 30, 1940, in Salem, IN, the daughter of Pearl & Loretha (Jones) Agan, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Agan, Bob Agan, and James "Bill" Agan; and by her sisters, Elenora Myers and Midge Arnold; by her son-in-law, Craig Hill; and by her grandson-in-law, Benjamin Sanchez. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Hill; by her sons, Rick Ealy and Jeff & wife Esperanza Ealy; by her grandchildren, Jamie Baer, Joanna Ealy & fiancé Kemel Kellum, and Brittany Sanchez; by her great-grandchildren, Trevor, Maci, Craig, and Jocelyn; by her sister & brother-in-law, Betty & Jim Swinford; by her brother, Larry & Patty Agan; as well as several nieces and nephews. She grew up in the Redmon, IL area before moving to Oakland, IL, where she would graduate in 1958. Much of her early life was spent tending to her house and all who called it "home". She would eventually find work at Victor Dana in Robinson, where she worked in the kit department for 25 years before retiring in 2005. Time at home often found her at the table with her friends and family playing cards or her all-time favorite game, Yahtzee. So deep was her love of the game that she wore out her side of the table from throwing dice! Anyone who knew her could attest to her love of sport. She followed the St. Louis Cardinals and was also a massive "cheesehead", having rooted on her beloved Brett Favre and his Green Bay Packers for several years. Deep was her love of Michael Jordan, to the point that she took off of work when the Bulls were deep in the playoffs! She also enjoyed countless hours enjoying the great outdoors, be that mushroom hunting or fishing, especially for catfish. More than anything, the love she had for her family was what sustained her day to day and brought life to her living. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in particular were her joy. The love she gave to each of them will live on in their hearts for as long as they live.
