Shirley Ann Crawford

Shirley Ann Crawford, 74, of Robinson, formerly of West Union, died at 2:13 p.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at the home of her sister in rural Robinson. She was born March 23, 1936 in Bridgeport, IL, the daughter of Cecil Blackwell and Printhe Shipley Blackwell. She was employed for 10 years at Crawford Electronics and 27 years at Victor-Dana Corp.She married Paul Crawford on September 18, 1954 and he survives. Also surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Lisa Crawford, Robinson; two daughters and sons-in-law, Diana and Earnie Mendenhall, Palestine, and Lori and James Ireland, Robinson; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; five step-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Imogene and Charles Marks, Sumner, Marjorie and Russell Vaughn, rural Robinson, Barbara and Charles Duncan, Olney; as well as several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Charles, George, and Herschel Blackwell; and her sister, Deloris Hand.Shirley has chosen cremation, and there will be a visitation from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 19 at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Memorials may be made to the Crawford County Relay for Life, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
