Sandra Wiseman Garrard

Sandra Wiseman Garrard, 67, of Palestine, IL, died at 2:50 p.m. on Sunday, January 24, 2016 in the comfort of her home. She was born April 8, 1948 in Bloomington, IL, the daughter of Robert Crutcher & Betty Shaffer Crutcher. She married Tim Garrard on November 5, 2001, and he survives. She is also survived by her mother, Betty Crutcher (Palestine, IL); her children & their spouses, Patty & Larry Henson (Mount Carmel, IL), Mark & Shay Wiseman (Robinson, IL), Brent Joseph Wiseman (Flat Rock, IL); her step-children & their spouses, Mandy & Corey Green (Monroe City, IN), Tasha & Levi Gaddis (Palestine, IL), Daniel & Maria Garrard (Palestine, IL); ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her sister, Roberta McNair (Palestine, IL). She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Crutcher. Sandy worked in environmental services at the Best Western in Robinson for six years and for Crawford Memorial Hospital for seven years. Away from work, she enjoyed sitting by the river and fishing. She will long be remembered for her love of the outdoors as well as her love of birds. A time of visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Flat Rock. A graveside service will follow the visitation and will be held at the Jones Cemetery, rural Flat Rock, with Celebrant Curt Goodwine officiating the service. Memorials may be made to the Sandra Wiseman Garrard Memorial Fund, with checks made payable to Goodwine Funeral Homes.
