Ruth (Mitchell) Bousley

Ruth Loraine (Mitchell) Bousley, 70, of Robinson, IL, died at 5:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2018. She was born April 10, 1948 to Loren & Ruth (Mills) Mitchell and was the oldest of three children. After graduating from Robinson High School, she continued her education at Indiana State University, where she received her nursing degree. Ruth was a devoted nurse for many years. Over the course of her career, she cared for countless patients and made many friends along the way. Since retiring in 2004, Ruth began quilting again and Tuesday mornings with the quilting circle at church were always a highlight of her week, as were mornings with her Hutsonville breakfast friends. Ruth simply enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and especially loved watching her grandchildren play sports. Ruth married Dennis Bousley in 1979 and he survives. She is also survived by her two sons & daughters-in-law, Scott & Kristen Cooper (Groton, SD) and Todd & Lindsey Cooper (Robinson, IL); by two brothers, Robert & Anna Mitchell (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) and Gary Mitchell & Sue Martinez (Robinson, IL); by two grandchildren, Lanee Cooper and Wyatt Cooper (both of Robinson, IL); along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Loren & Ruth Mitchell. Per Ruth’s request, there will be no funeral services. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements.
