Ruby A. Ellis, 93 of Ocala, FL, formerly of Robinson, IL died at the Hawthorne Nursing Center in Ocala Thursday, May 13, 2010. She was born September 3, 1916 in Piper City, IL, the daughter of Jesse B. Ward and Brooke Dillman Ward. She had been employed at Victor Dana as a machine operator.She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Gayle Ellis, Ocala, Fl; her two granddaughters, Kimberly Wages Bead, Ocala and Kristina Owens, Ocala; her grandson, James P. Ellis, Tuscaloosa, AL; 6 great grandchildren, Brooke Dean, Parker Owens, Olivia Owens and Kerrington Bead, all of Ocala, FL, Max and Patrick Ellis, Tuscaloosa, AL; and her great-great grandson, Karter Dean, Ocala.She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, James Ellis, and her sister, Helen Ward.She was a member of the West Union Baptist Church and a 50 year member of the West Union Order of the Easter Star Chapter #776.Funeral services will be held at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 18th. Visitation is from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 17th, and from 9:00 a.m. to service time on Tuesday. Burial will be in the Mound Cemetery, rural Jasper County.
