Roy "Ken" Hayden

Roy 'Ken' Hayden, 79, of Paducah, KY, formerly of Robinson, IL, died Wednesday, November 21, 2007 in the Riverside Senior Care Center in Decatur, AL. He was born April 25, 1928 in Princeton, IN, the son of Jim Hayden and Margaret Brittingham Hayden. He was CEO of Trufax, Alert, Dorite, and Cre-O-Tox Pest Control Companies in Robinson and Paducah. He served in the U. S. Army and the Marine Corp during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a board member of the National Pest Control Association, a board member of the Illinois Pest Control Association, a member and Past Commander of the Robinson V. F. W. Post #4549, a member of the Robinson American Legion Post #69, Marine Corp League, Lone Oak Baptist Church, Paducah, Ky, and the Robinson First Baptist Church.He married Lucille Dart on October 27, 1955 and she survives. He is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Robert Kenneth and Patricia Lynn Hayden, Clearwater Beach, FL; 4 grandchildren, David Steinkamp, Charles Steinkamp, Lexus Steinkamp, Pearl Steinkamp; and his sister, Catherine Durham, Vincennes, IN.He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Glen Hayden and Delbert Hayden; and 3 sisters, Anna Davis, Ruth Davis and Edna Hayden.Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 24, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 23rd at the funeral home. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the combined units of the AmVets Post #33, Robinson American Legion Post #69, Flat Rock American Legion Post #132, V. F. W. Post #4549 and the Marine Corp League. Memorials may be made to the Marine Corp League with envelopes available at the funeral home.
