Roxie Carol (Morris) London, 58, of Robinson, IL, passed away on May 24, 2022, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL, following a valiant fight with cancer. She was born April 11, 1964, in Cincinnati, OH, the daughter of Charlie & Alberta (Miracle) Morris, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda Morris; her grandmother, Roxie Hill; her brothers, Raymond Morris and Fred Morris; her sisters, Carol Miracle and Charlene (Morris) Ford; and her nephew, Seth Burton.
She married James London on April 20, 2020, and he survives. She is also survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Michael & Jennifer E. Trivett; her daughter, Jennifer A. Trivett; her step-daughter, Breana London; her grandchildren, Christopher Tyhurst, April Tyhurst, Rebecca Trivett, Blake Trivett, J.J. Markello, Jesse Trivett, Tyler Summers, Levaeh Trivett, Kayden Allen, Matrix London, and McKenzie London; her siblings & their spouses, Elmer Slusher, Charles Morris, Bonnie & Jim Burton, Opal & Bill Lanman, and Daniel & June Morris; and by several beloved nieces and nephews, especially her favorite, Kristen!
Throughout her 58 years, it was evident that Roxie's heart belonged to her family. This professional Facebooker was known to filter through years' worth of pictures to find the perfect image to highlight and celebrate her loved ones on their birthdays and anniversaries. Their gifts were often purchased and wrapped months beforehand, which comes as no surprise to those who knew her. After all, Roxie was a planner! This inclination was further evidenced by the immense stockpile of Mountain Dew she kept at home, as the woman was rarely seen without one in her hand. Though she drank these by the case, she wasn't much of an eater, which is incredible, considering the mass quantity of food she'd whip up that would feed her family for days! Many of them have cherished memories of camping with this dear soul at Hickory Holler or fishing at her secret spot at Sam Parr. Though she enjoyed the outdoors, her passion for Bingo was the stuff of legend, and she would routinely play several cards at once to increase her odds of winning.
Everyone who knew her could attest to her fondness for the movie character Chucky, and she was the proud owner of a number of dolls and memorabilia with his likeness. Although orchids and stargazer lilies were her favorite, her house was home to many other types of flowers and plants. Even as her health started deteriorating, she would have her husband James plant them for her. She didn't let her poor health keep her from hopping onto her son's Harley, either. In fact, rides with him brought a sense of light to the twilight years of her life.
Though Roxie had health issues of her own, she set them aside to care for her daughter, Rhonda, in her last days. Her death affected Roxie dramatically, and we find peace knowing they are together again.
