Ronzo "Ron" Moore

Ronzo €œRon€ Moore, 82, of Robinson, IL, died at 8:14 a.m. Friday, August 12, 2011 at the Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson. He was born December 15, 1928 in Lizemore, West Virginia, the son of Enos & Myrtle Brown-Moore. Ron served his country by joining the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a Tech Sgt. after 20 years of service. After he retired from the military, he went to work for E.H. Baare, where he stayed for 16 years. Ron was an avid Cubs fan and also enjoyed hunting and tinkering with cars and motorcycles as a mechanic. He was a member of the Highland Avenue Baptist Church.Ron married Lena Faye Holcomb on November 22, 1964 and she preceded him in death on September 15, 1998. He was also preceded in death by his parents and his son, Ronald Moore.Ronzo married Emily €œJeanita€ Stone on November 11, 2000 and she survives. He is also survived by 6 sons and daughters-in-law, James Williams (Robinson), Donald and Brenda Moore (Fola, WV), Robert & Laura Moore (Robinson), Randy and Hye-lim Moore (Marshall), Richard Moore (Robinson), Keith and Jackie Moore (Maysel, WV); 5 daughters and sons-in-law, Katie Murphy (Stafford, VA), Cynthia and Scott Warren (Robinson), Ronda and Dan Tye (Robinson), Sandy and Doug Bowen (Robinson), Nancy Knapp (Zepherhills, FL); his step-son, Ron Stone (Robinson); three step-daughters, Marsha Gaul(Bay Village, OH), Jeannie Fuller-Stone (Robinson), and Pam Kennedy (Marion, IL); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 16th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson with Chaplain David Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in the Kirk Cemetery, rural Robinson. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 15th at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Crawford County Relay for Life or to the Crawford County Humane Society, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
