Roberta V. Richart, 95, Robinson, IL, passed away on February 9th, 2021, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Vincennes, IN. She was born February 1st, 1926, in Honey Creek Township, Crawford County, IL, the daughter of Carson S. and Lura E. (Boyd) Watts, both of whom preceded her in death. Roberta grew up in Crawford County and was a 1944 graduate of Robinson High School. On April 20th, 1946, she married Frank Eugene "Gene" Richart, who preceded her in death on May 9th, 2004. Also preceding her in death were five brothers and three sisters-in-law, Billie C. Watts, Ira B. (and Marie Siler) Watts, Jack J. (and Harriet Kinney) Watts, Don D. Watts, and James R. (and Marilyn Stahl) Watts. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Nina (Green) Watts (Don D. Watts); her nieces and nephews, Kenneth and Kathy Watts, Robert and Carol Watts, Nancy Brady, Linda and Gay Schultz, Gary and Sue Watts, Kathy and DJ Kennedy, Jack K. and Carol Watts, Mike and Jolyn Watts, Sheila Watts, Keith and Kathy Watts, Ruth Weck, Nancy and Jim Bleil, Lawana Autenrieth, Jimmy Richart, Techla Stromberg, Carolyn and Ken Woodworth, Mary and Dick Snyder, Sue and George Harrison, Donnie and Kathy Richart, Dave and Brenda Richart, Gene and Peggy Jones, and Carl and Sue Jones; as well as several great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and great-great-great-nieces and nephews. In her early years, she worked for Marathon Oil Co, and later, the Hardinville School. She was a member of Highland Church of Christ, the Republican Women’s Club, and spent time as a Pink Lady at Crawford Memorial Hospital. By all accounts, Roberta was a country girl at her core! She and her husband loved to garden and can vegetables, hunt mushrooms, and host family gatherings. Regardless of what Roberta was doing, she always made time for church and family. She treated her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children and would drop whatever she was doing if it meant spending time with them. They will remember their aunt as an outgoing soul who lived with unyielding determination and undying love. This same love lives on as her legacy in the hearts of all who knew her. Services will be held at a later date. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to "Operation Shoebox", an organization that embraces a practical mission of providing hands-on support for our troops deployed overseas and returning home. Checks may be mailed to: Goodwine Funeral Homes 303 E Main St. Robinson, IL 62454
