Robert "Bob" Fox, 76, of Robinson, IL, died unexpectedly on January 27, 2023, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital, Evansville, IN, following an accident from a fall at his home. He was born May 27, 1946, in Marion, IL, to Robert and Veta (Fowler) Fox of Marion, IL. He was married to his wife of 44 years, Nancy.
Many in the Crawford County area will recognize Bob from working at the Chevrolet dealership as well as the Oblong bank. However, most of the locals in Robinson know Bob from his nearly 30 years working at the Robinson Daily News, taking care of all the newspaper circulation issues. He never met a stranger and could talk and tell stories to anybody he met-he had a "loud gift of gab".
Bob is also a graduate of Lincoln Trail College with a degree in Petroleum Technology. He was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge and a member of the American Legion of Robinson, IL.
Bob is survived by his wife, Nancy, of Robinson, IL; son, Kevin, and his wife, Linda, of Maryville, TN; and brother, Ron, of Springfield, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Allen, of Marion, IL.
A time of visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 5th, at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. A graveside service will immediately follow and will be held at the Oak Grove Cemetery, with Pastor J.D. Branson officiating.
