Richard A. Weck

Richard A. Weck, 62, of rural Annapolis, IL, died at 4:20 p.m. Sunday, April 25, 2010 at his residence. He was born February 28, 1948 in Robinson, IL, the son of Donald E. Weck and Edra L. Richards Weck. He received an associates degree from Lockyear Business College, Evansville, IN. He worked at F. S. for 4 years, worked in the barrel house at Marathon Oil Co, and was custodian for Community Unit #2 at the Robinson High School for 18 years. He was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church and loved hunting and fishing.Richard married Martha J. Gurley on June 1, 1968 and she survives. He is also survived by his mother, Edra L. Weck, Robinson; his daughter and son-in-law, Phoebe and Doug Gill, Oblong; his grandson, Ryan Gill, Oblong; his granddaughter, Morgan Gill, Oblong; his sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Pat Richards, Robinson; 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary Weck, Louisville, Terry and Kay Weck, Annapolis, Doug and Penny Weck, Annapolis; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his father, Donald E. Weck.Memorials services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 29, 2010 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday preceding the services. Memorials may be made to the College Fund for Ryan and Morgan Gill; United Life Care, or Crawford County Rescue.
