Raymond Richard Bledsoe

Raymond Richard Bledsoe, 80, of rural Robinson, IL, graduated to heaven at 3:22 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2009 at Cotillion Ridge Nursing Center, Robinson. He was born September 28, 1928 in Leon, KS, the son of Charles Raymond Bledsoe and Ella E. Adams Bledsoe. He was a pipe fitter with Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #157, Terre Haute, IN. He was a member of the Dayspring Church.Raymond married Rose Ann Beard on January 13, 1949 and she survives. He is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Adrienne and Marlin Swope, Harlingen, TX; his son and daughter-in-law, Charles Raymond II and Beverly Bledsoe, Robinson; 3 grandsons and their spouses, Stephen Allen and Tammy Swope, Harlingen, TX, Donald Eugene and Katie Bledsoe, Robinson, Dustin Kyle and Lizabeth Bledsoe, Robinson; 9 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mary Lucille Lumis, Robinson, Wildena Krulic, Topeka, KS; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Erma Jean Stevens; and 2 sisters in infancy.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 3rd at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson with Rev. Larry McCormick officiating. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 2nd at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Dayspring Parsonage Fund with envelopes available at the funeral home.
