Raymond Lloyd Biggs

Raymond Lloyd Biggs, 91, of Palestine, IL, passed away on March 8, 2022.

The following are Raymond's words:
"I was born in Palestine in 1930 and, with the exception of time spent in college and in the U.S. Army, I have lived in Palestine for most of my life. I taught school in Palestine for more than 25 years. Early in my teaching career, I met and married Carolyn Godwin in 1958. She soon became a teacher in the Palestine schools. The greatest event to come from our marriage was the birth of our daughter, Diana. What an amazing gift! The united lives of Raymond and Carolyn came to an end when Carolyn passed away in January of 2015. The 55 years we had together were some of the most precious times I was fortunate to have."

It was Raymond's wish to be cremated, and the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine is in charge of these arrangements. His family is planning to have a memorial service at a later date.
