Raymond G. Stanley

Raymond G. Stanley, 93, Robinson, IL, died at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2007 at the Long Term Care Unit of Crawford Memorial Hospital. He retired from Marathon Oil Company in 1976 after 30 years of service as a machinist. He was a member of the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, the Robinson Lions Club and the Robinson Elks #1188. He was born March 20, 1914 in Robinson the son of Harry Stanley and Fern Cunningham Stanley. He married Irene Fagen June 17, 1939 and she preceded him in death January 3, 2000. He was also preceded by his parents, a daughter; Raedene McDaniel, a granddaughter; Cynthia McDaniel, and 2 sisters; Inez Anderson and Wilma Williams.He is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law; Stanley and Sandy Stanley, Houston, MO and Art and Rita Stanley, Fort Wayne, IN, 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 2 nieces and 2 nephews.Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Father Bill Overmann officiating. Burial will follow in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Memorials may be made to the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with envelopes available at the funeral home.
