Randy Richards

Randy Richards, 75 of West Union, IL, died Monday, September 07, 2009 in rural York Township, Clark County, IL. He was born August 5, 1934 in Annapolis, IL, the son of Ova and Helen Bryan Richards. He was an Iron Worker in the construction industry, and had been a truck driver, operated the DX Station in West Union and had farmed. He served in the U. S. Marines during the Korean War. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church, a member of the Robinson V. F. W. Post #4549, and a member of the Robinson American Legion Post #69.He married Betty Stanfield September 14, 1957 and she survives. He is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Barbara Richards, West Union; his daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Gary Green, Marshall; his daughter-in-law, Karen Richards Monaghan, Philadelphia, PA; 7 grandchildren, Kelly and her husband, Jamie Forman, Lagrange, KY, Shannon and his wife Jamie Green, Carmel, IN, Dr. John Richards, Terre Haute, IN, Joseph and his wife, Melissa Richards, Chicago, Emily, and her husband, Tanner Strohm, West Union, and Cecilia and Dylan Monaghan, Philadelphia, PA; 4 great grandchildren, Audrey Banning Richards, Brynn and Baylor Forman, and Willis C. Strohm; his brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Ethel Richards, West Union; his 2 sisters and brother-in-law, Linda and Paul Price Morris, IL, Janet Seaney, Palestine; and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Michael R. Richards; and his brother, Raymond Richards.Funeral services will be held Friday, September 11th at 10:00 a.m. at the Prust-Hosch Funeral Home in West Union. Pastor Billy Ray Ulrey is in charge of services. Burial is in the Bailiff Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 10th at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Baliff Cemetery with envelopes at the funeral home.
