Phyllis Jean Wade

Phyllis Jean Wade, 74 of Oblong, IL, died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, August 19, 2007 at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Long Term Care Unit. She was born April 9, 1933 in Robinson, the daughter of Weldon L. Dix and Hattie L. Clements Dix. She was a homemaker, a member of the Oblong Central United Methodist Church, a member of the Robinson Elks Lodge #1188, and the Quail Creek Country Club.She married Jack L. Wade, June 23, 1951 and he preceded her in death on February 20, 2002. She was also preceded by her parents and her son, Steven Wade on February 23, 1998.She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cristi and Randy Gaddis, Oblong; her daughter-in-law, Feleca Jenkins, Bluffton, SC; 5 grandchildren, Brandy Gaddis, Oblong, Stephanie Tracy, Willow Hill, Justin Gaddis, Florida, Carrie Wartsbaugh, Willow Hill, and Jackie Wade, Minooka, IL; 7 great grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Lela McCullough, Sun City West, AZ.Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 22nd at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Rev. Tom Brewer is in charge of services. Burial is in Miller Cemetery, rural Jasper County. Visitation is at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the Crawford County Humane Society.
