Phyllis Jean Rich, 88, of rural Robinson, IL, died at 7:12 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Ridgeview Care Center in Oblong, IL. She was born November 1, 1930 in Lawrenceville, IL, the daughter of Herschel & Harriett (Kelly) Sager, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Virginia Butler, Nancy Myles, and Mary Nater-Coartney. She married Roy Rich on September 25, 1948, and he survives. She is also survived by her daughters, Linda & Jim Webster and Karan & Herb Osborn; by two grandchildren, Mike & Jennifer Rich and Miranda & Dusty Harrison and four great-grandchildren; by two step-grandchildren, Elizabeth & Jameson Parker and Whitney & Blake Hale; and four step-great-grandchildren. Phyllis dedicated her life to caring for her home and all those inside of it. She loved her family more than anything; her grandchildren in particular were the light of her life. They could never forget her quiet, comforting presence for as long as they live. She was a dedicated member of the Duncanville Baptist Church for many years before poor health kept her from attending. The faith she clung to in this life has made her whole, and today she is experiencing resurrected life alongside her beloved Savior. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 23rd at the Tohill Cemetery, with Pastor J.D. Branson officiating. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Flat Rock is in charge of arrangements.
