Pearl Marie Shields

Pearl Marie Shields, 90, of Palestine, IL, died at 8:50 a.m. Thursday, January 15, 2009 at her residence. She was born May 23, 1918 in Oblong Township, the daughter of Harry Wiseman and Mae L. Servison Wiseman. She was retired from Victor-Dana Co. in 1987 after over 30 years of service.She married Arthur Shields March 25, 1937 and he preceded her in death March 19, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters, Euphema McIntyre, Minnie Malone, Myrtle Decker; her brother, William Wiseman; her grandson, Daniel Paul Shields; and her former son-in-law, Roger Brock;She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Janet Shields, Palestine; her daughter, Rose Mary Brock, Palestine; 7 grandchildren and their spouses, Anita Brock, Oklahoma, Trisha and Jim Ellis, Palestine, Sherri and Christopher Beabout, Lafayette, IN, Cindi Parker, Palestine, Bonnie and Jerry Sanders, Oblong, Scott and Carole Shields, Westville, Paul D. and Dottie Shields, Robinson; 9 great grandchildren, Reyna Shields, Noah Shields, Alyssa Parker, Summer Sanders, Lucas Brock, Matthew Ellis, Justin Ellis, Aiden Beabout and Brennen Beabout.Funeral services will be held Monday, January 19th at 11:00 a.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery. Pastor Larry McCormick is in charge of services. Visitation is from 5:00 p. m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 18th and from 8:00 a.m. to service time on Monday.
