Paul Gene Daugherty

Paul Eugene €œGene€ Daugherty, 78 of Hutsonville, IL, died at 5:50 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at the IU Medical Center, Indianapolis, IN. He was born January 16, 1933 in York Township, IL, the son of Clifford R. €œJack€ Daugherty and Helen M. Medicke Daugherty. He was a retired union laborer from Local #159 and had worked for over 20 years for Feutz Construction Company, Paris. Gene married Patricia Ann Crouch and she preceded him in death on September 7, 2000. He was also preceded in death by his parents; his son, Steve Daugherty on October 9, 2010; 11 brothers and sisters.He is survived by 4 children, Tom Daugherty, Hutsonville, Peggy and her husband, Dee Everingham, Palestine, John and his wife, Peggy Daugherty, Marshall, and Barbara Johnson, Wisconsin; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.It was Gene€™s wish to be cremated. There will be a visitation at the Prust-Hosch Funeral Home in West Union Monday, April 18th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with burial at the York Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Palestine Food Pantry with envelopes available at the funeral home.
