Patty Ann Bates

Patricia Ann 'Patty' Bates, 80, Palestine, IL, died at 4:35 p.m. E.S.T. Sunday, February 3, 2008 at Bridge Point Health Center in Vincennes, IN. She was born March 20, 1927 in Merom, IN the daughter of Ray Frederick and Joan Russell Frederick. She was a member of the Palestine First Christian Church and the Ladies of the Moose and Elks in Robinson.She married Billy E. Bates September 24, 1950 and he preceded her in death April 3, 1996. She was also preceded by her parents and her brother Robert Frederick.She is survived by 2 daughters; Debra Goodwin and her friend Woody Riggins, Palestine and Donna Meadows and her friend Randy Cox, Robinson, 4 grandchildren; Kurt Fuller and his friend Jessica Lowrance, Avon, IN, Craig and Mandy Fuller, Palestine, Greg Goodwin and Megan Goodwin both of Champaign, her sister-in-law; June Frederick, Merom, IN and her great-granddaughter; Whitney Lea Fuller, Palestine.Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine with Rev. John Brand officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the Palestine Senior Citizens.
