Patricia Rose Kasinger, 81, of Palestine, IL, died Sunday, September 15, 2019, at Cotillion Ridge in Robinson, IL. She was born September 5, 1938, the daughter of Porter Collins & Mary (Bennett) Collins, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Charles "Charlie" Harrison, and he preceded her in death on September 2, 1975. She then married John R. Kasinger on June 5, 1976, and he preceded her in death on December 28, 2017. She is survived by her children, Darrin Anthony Harrison, Pamela & husband Chuck York, and Ronald Todd Kasinger; by twelve grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren; by her siblings, Linda Wilson, Susan Franklin, Don Collins, Ed Collins; as well as several nieces and nephews. Pat grew up in the Lawrenceville area went on to earn her associate degree in accounting. Though she worked for H & R Block for a time, most of her life was dedicated to caring for her home and all those inside of it. She loved flowers and was especially fond of the roses that surrounded her house. Time spent away from home often found her outdoors, be that fishing or camping. She also found great enjoyment in working jigsaw puzzles with John, and great fulfillment in painting, having created countless works of art over the course of her lifetime. Her beloved family will remember Pat as a private, but kind and generous woman who lived life her way. A time of visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 20th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine. A graveside service will follow and will be held at the Palestine Cemetery. Celebrant Curt Goodwine will officiate.
