Pamela DiBerardino, 62, of Robinson, IL, passed away January 13, 2022, in the comfort of her home. She was born July 12, 1959, in Charlotte, NC, the daughter of Leo & Helen (Gettis) Hubbard-Mansi, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Sammy Hubbard, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She married Ronda Ulrey on August 12, 2017, and she survives. Pam is also survived by her son, David DiBerardino & his fiancee, Kat McKee; by her grandson, Hagan McKee; by her sister & brother-in-law, Debra & Mark Bergen; by her niece & nephew-in-law, Sarah & Mike Parker; by her nephew & niece-in-law, Matt & Cristina Bergen and their daughter (Pam's great-niece), Piper Bergen; as well as several beloved cousins. Taking a look at Pam's 62 years, it is clear that her life was lived for others. She served her country in the U.S. Army, and in so doing, committed herself to the freedoms of her fellow man. She would go on to work in a number of capacities for several entities but never met an occupation she couldn't tackle. However, it must be said that her life's work revolved around caring for others in their time of need. Nowhere was this more evident than in her work with hospice and in-home health. In fact, Pam took it upon herself to move her parents in with her so that she could tend to them in the twilight years of their lives. Though she found professional achievement, her greatest success was being a mother. In short, David was her everything. It could be said that he, along with the rest of her family, brought life to her very living. Those she leaves behind will long remember her affinity for golfing and fishing. The latter pastime was born out of hours and hours casting beside her dad on Myrtle Beach. Even after his passing, she treasured bringing her loved ones out to fish alongside her, but rest assured, they wouldn't leave until Pam was done! Back home, she would take whatever she caught and incorporate it into a delicious meal. In fact, this southern gal could whip together anything your heart desired: homemade biscuits, chicken and dumplings, banana pudding, you name it...there was nothing that she couldn't cook or bake! What's more, she always made sure you had enough to eat. After all, filling others filled her up. We are thankful that Pam DiBerardino filled her life with such selfless love. This love will live on in our hearts, serving as her lasting legacy forever. It was Pam's wish to be cremated, and services will be held at a later date. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements.
