Pamela Bell, 60, of Robinson, IL, went to be with her Lord on August 30, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was born June 16, 1962, in Robinson, the daughter of Jerry & Joan Snider. A 1980 graduate of RHS, she would further her education at Eastern Illinois University, where she majored in accounting. Armed with her newfound knowledge, she entered the workforce by way of the First Robinson Savings & Loan/First Robinson Savings Bank, where she worked for a number of years before getting on at Marathon Oil in Bridgeport as an accountant. Much of her career, however, found her at the Robinson Correctional Center, where she was the accounting supervisor for 26+ years before retiring. Her retirement was short-lived, however, as she soon found herself lending her skills as a bookkeeper for the Kemper CPA Group, where she spent the last five years of her career.
Much of her free time found Pam satisfying her innate sense of wanderlust. A certified scuba diver, she took many a trip to the Caribbean, exploring the depths of its waters. She also took in the sights, sounds, and cultures of destinations such as Italy and Paris alongside her family and close friends. They could attest to her love of music, as she would play 70s rock standards at nearly the same volume as the many concerts she attended!
Back home, she could often be found walking, to the point that she'd have to buy multiple shoes a year due to wear and tear. A voracious reader, she also consumed murder mystery novels like they were going out of style. However, over the last couple of years, much of her reading was bound to devotionals and scripture. A woman of faith, Pam was a member of the Robinson First United Methodist Church, where she gave herself to the grieving by helping to prepare funeral dinners and by volunteering as a Stephen Minister. Her selfless heart was also on display in her work with the NOW Program and the Ark of the Covenant Soup Kitchen. In so doing, she provided us with a tangible picture of her Savior, Jesus, with whom she will dwell forever and always!
On May 21, 1988, she married Mike Bell, and he survives. She is also survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Lucas & Maddie Bell; her daughter, Audra Bell; her parents, Jerry & Joan Snider; her sister, Kim Cornwell; her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Bob & Barbara Bell; her sisters-in-law, Lynn Bell Stucker and Allen Stucker and Conni Bell Wampler; and her nieces and nephews, Kirk Cornwell, Cody Cornwell, Kyndal Keen, Aaron Medsker, Aubyn Medsker, Karleigh Wampler, and Kamryn Wampler.
