Oscar V. Hensley

Oscar V. Hensley, 101, of Robinson, IL, died at 4:35 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2008 at Crawford Memorial Hospital Long Term Care, Robinson. He was born December 29, 1906 in Yale, KY, the son of George and Lottie Hensley. He was an oilfield laborer and worked at Heath’s. He was a member of the Highland Church of Christ, Robinson.He married Elizabeth Bishop and she preceded him in death January 1982. He was also preceded in death by his parents; 4 sisters, Myrtle Caine, Alma Hensley, Beula Cane, and Ruth Crummett, 1 brother, Jesse Hensley, 1 granddaughter, Molly Shipman, and 1 grandson, Vernon Rich.He is survived by a step son, Thomas Rich, Robinson; 5 grandchildren and their spouses, Rick and Gina Rich, Robinson, Kay and Jerry Sharrett, Oblong, Linda and Steven Stewart, Robinson, Sandy Newman, Robinson, Patty and Pat King, Florida; 14 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2008 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson with Rev. Glen Rosborough officiating. Burial will be in the Hardinville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 5th at the funeral home.
