Norma Jean grew up in Bowling Green, IN before marrying Paul and moving to the area in 1946. The next several years of her life found her tending to her home and all those inside of it. She would go on to work for TRW for nearly 26 years before retiring on September 30, 1990. Anyone who knew her could attest to her work ethic. When she started a job, you could be rest assured that she wouldn’t stop until it was done. This was true both in her professional life as well as her home life. She mowed nearly every day and spent countless hours in her flower and vegetable gardens, having made every effort to keep them weed-free. When she wasn’t working, she stayed entertained simply sitting in the shade, watching the squirrels and the birds. More than anything, however, she loved spending time with her loved ones. Nothing was more important to Norma Jean than visiting with her family, and these were some of the most treasured moments of her life. She will be remembered as a strong, independent soul who left a lifetime of treasured memories behind. She will never and could never be forgotten. A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10th at the Prust-Hosch Funeral Home in West Union, IL. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Ken Gillaspy officiating. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery.
